Product Description

Vignettes of the NICKEL PLATE ROAD covers this fascinating railroad from 1950 to 1964, beginning in its hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. The action then moves to southeastern Ohio on the former Wheeling and Lake Erie in the Coshocton and Adena areas, before ending up at Conneaut, Ohio, with a cab ride side trip to Buffalo, NY. Steam locomotives seen include Mikes, and both NKP and W&LE Berkshires. Diesels include most hood units the NKP had, and also shows the very early N&W years at Conneaut and Coshocton...with former P&WV FMs powering a train out of Coshocton. The action is mostly freight, but late NKP passenger trains are also seen around Cleveland and Conneaut. So join Clear Block as we travel back through the films of Charles W Houser, Sr, William P. Price, and Clee Streets to revisit the New York, Chicago and St Louis Railroad...better known as the NICKEL PLATE ROAD! 49 minutes

..."It was everything you said and more. WOW! What a great movie!!! We cranked the sound up like you said and it was really great. All the steam was really neat but the 1st generation diesels especially the Alcos and those 3 FM's on that train. That was great! Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed it!" - Dick and Doug Horton
